Equine Gestalt Coaching Method™ (EGCM)

The EGCM™ was developed by Melisa Pearce, a core founder since 1989 of the horse-human healing movement. The experiential nature of the method involves the horse as an active partner with the coach in the client’s exploratory process. The integrative approach of the equine’s interaction combined with positive coaching, somatic awareness guidance and Gestalt methodology, assists the client in examining their life and choices made with a focus on designing a positive future.

Meet Kimberlee Countryman

Certified Equine Gestaltist / Licensed Equine-Facilitator

Kimberlee Countryman is the founder and heart behind Heart to Hoof Healing, where transformational healing unfolds through authentic connection with horses. As a Certified Equine Gestaltist and Licensed Equine Facilitator, Kimberlee brings deep empathy, intuitive presence, and a lifelong bond with horses into every experience she offers.

Her path to equine-assisted healing didn’t begin in a pasture—it began in the corporate world. After graduating high school, Kimberlee built a successful career in corporate America, gaining valuable professional insight while quietly feeling called toward something more meaningful. Her natural desire to support others, paired with a soul-deep connection to horses, remained a constant thread throughout her life.

During a period of personal reflection and growth, Kimberlee chose to honor that calling and pursue certification in Equine Gestalt Coaching. That decision became a turning point—one that aligned her life experience, professional background, and intuitive gifts with her true purpose.

Today, Kimberlee works with people from all walks of life, including veterans, teenagers, adults, individuals, families, and groups. While her work welcomes anyone seeking greater self-awareness, healing, and personal growth, she has a special emphasis on supporting survivors of narcissistic abuse and domestic violence.

Through Equine Gestalt Coaching, Kimberlee helps clients explore what may have been hidden deep within and gently bring awareness to unresolved experiences and emotions. Horses have an extraordinary ability to respond to our presence and energy, creating opportunities for insight, connection, and transformation. This experiential approach can support clients in addressing unfinished business within themselves and moving toward greater clarity, healing, and wholeness.

Through Heart to Hoof Healing, Kimberlee creates safe, compassionate, and trauma-aware spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, rediscover their inner strength, and move forward in new ways.

Kimberlee’s mission is simple yet profound: to help others reconnect with themselves and move forward with clarity, courage, and compassion—one horse-guided moment at a time.

Her inspiring journey has been featured in ShoutOut LA Magazine and Bold Journey Magazine, honoring the path that led her from the boardroom to the barn and into a life of purpose-driven healing.

In addition to her coaching, Kimberlee is also an award winning author of children’s books dedicated to helping families, educators, and young readers navigate mental health in a gentle, approachable way. Through her series The Adventures of Bug & Bido, inspired by her two dogs, Deuce and Harley, Kimberlee creates meaningful stories that open the door to important conversations for children of all ages.

The first book in the series focuses on dementia and senility, offering a heartfelt and easy-to-understand perspective for both kids and adults. It is currently available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Kimberlee is actively working on the remaining books in the series, each thoughtfully designed to highlight one of the top eleven mental health disorders.

Her mission is to make mental health conversations more accessible, helping children feel seen, supported, and understood—while also providing valuable tools for parents and teachers to guide those discussions with care.
